Students have read how developments in transportation and communications helped the North's economy grow. In this lesson, students will learn more about the development of the telegraph.

Lesson Description
Students will go to the Sparks Telegraph Key Review site and learn more about the development of the telegraph. They will then answer questions about what they have learned.

Instructional Objective
Students will be able to identify the technological advancements that pre-dated radio.
